Women in Logistics
Strategy for impact
To turn ambition into action, Women in Logistics is guided by a multifaceted strategy focused on three key stakeholder groups — leadership, drivers, and operators—and structured around four strategic pillars:
Top-down
Leadership engagement is essential. Cultural transformation must begin at the top. Women in Logistics promotes active endorsement from executive leaders to champion inclusion and drive strategic change across the organization.
Bottom-up
Empowering change at every level. True impact happens when middle managers and frontline teams are engaged and encouraged to lead local initiatives, share insights, and challenge norms.
Inside-out
We believe in co-opetition: learning from each other to move faster together. By sharing success stories and innovative practices among member companies, we foster cross-industry collaboration and scalable strategies.
Outside-in
As a united voice, Women in Logistics advocates for broader change—supportive legislation, inclusive infrastructure, and systemic improvements that advance gender parity across the logistics sector.
Embark on the journey
Women in Logistics has established dedicated working groups for each key target group to drive action through webinars, workshops, and best practice exchanges.
By focusing on specific, tangible barriers and opportunities, these groups are building momentum for lasting industry transformation.
Drivers
The driver shortage is acute—and solving it requires expanding the talent pool. This group focuses on attracting, training, and retaining women drivers by addressing the specific challenges they face and providing mentorship and advocacy support.
Operators
Operational roles are vital to logistics—and too often overlooked in gender equity discussions. This group works to identify barriers, share innovative practices, and support company-level and policy-level changes that foster inclusion on the ground.
Leadership
Leadership plays a defining role in shaping inclusive cultures. This working group develops practical tools to ensure equal opportunities in promotions and hiring, empowering leaders to set the tone and lead by example.
