Managing Director (Freelance, Part-Time)

Women in Logistics (WIL) is an international consortium advancing diversity, inclusion, and leadership in the chemical logistics sector. We are looking for a Managing Director (MD) to lead our activities, shape our strategy, and represent WIL across industry and policy.

This is a part-time, freelance role with flexible engagement, starting from approximately one day per week.

 

 

The Role

As Managing Director, you have overall responsibility for coordinating WIL’s initiatives and representing the organisation externally, including engagement with EU policymakers and key industry stakeholders. Working closely with the Board, you ensure that WIL’s programs align with our mission and deliver high-quality impact.

 

 

Key Responsibilities (at a glance)

  • Design and drive WIL’s strategy in alignment with the Board
  • Coordinate projects, timelines, and budgets
  • Foster collaboration among members and partners
  • Represent WIL externally and strengthen its visibility and influence
  • Manage the WIL association, including finances
  • Set up events and webinars together with members

  • Experience leading an organisation or complex initiatives
  • Strong international network in the chemical logistics sector
  • Diplomatic, influential, and a natural networker
  • Positive, can-do mindset and strong alignment with the WIL mission
  • Open to men and women committed to advancing diversity and leadership

 

 

Location

The WIL office is located in the CEFIC building in Brussels.
Being based in Belgium is useful, but not mandatory.
